Thirteen Bells is the precursor to the Legends of the Scale series. It is set in the year 12604 and follows Darrian as he bares witness to Michael's battle between thirteen of The Immortal Fifty-Three and the events that follow.
The Beginning[]
The book starts out with Darrian's present day wife Cassandra as she is reading Victoria Rulin's journal. While flipping through the pages she makes constant note of Darrian's uneasy sleep and questions at it before Darrian moves closer to her and she figures out which memory is plaguing him.
